Essential oils have been around for ages. Traditionally, they’ve been used to help people relax and unwind. More recently, it’s been clinically shown that they do appear to take the edge off.
I use essential oils every day. During the day, when I’m working, I notice that certain oils can provide a mental boost. At night, I use them to help me drift off to sleep.
I’m so happy to be able to use these natural plant-based extracts, which have helped my life in so many ways. Please understand that I’m not making any claims that any product or natural remedy will help anyone else. All I’m doing is sharing information on how aromatherapy has made such a positive difference for me.
Right now, we’re living in very stressful times. So it’s no surprise, given the enormous popularity of essential oils, that a number of blends, designed specifically for stress, are now available.
Edens Garden Destress Kit
This set of three 100 percent pure therapeutic-grade essential oils is designed to calm and relax you. It can be potentially useful after you’ve had a rough day. Each of these bottles contains a blend of multiple oils. This is a plus, since aromatherapists believe the synergy that exists between using multiple aromatics together is more powerful than using an individual oil.
These oils in the kit are derived the precious ylang ylang, which comes from a flower native to the Philippines, as well as from various citrus fruits, which are noted for their ability to elevate the mood. Some of the other oils include chamomile, lavender and geranium, often recommended as natural stress relievers.
Edens Garden Stress Relief Blend
The Stress Relief Synergy Blend on the right is one of my favorites. It contains a mix of citrus and ylang ylang, plus patchouli oil to balance it out. It smells exquisite and, for me, it really does seem to take the edge off. One thing I like about it (besides its exquisite aroma) is that it doesn’t make me feel drowsy at the same time. So I can use it during the day time, without having to worry that I’m going to want to take a nap.
Eden’s Garden is now a recognized leader in the aromatherapy industry. It was founded in 2009 by a woman named Grace Martin. I consider this brand, along with some of the others, including Plant Therapy and Aura Cacia, some of the best alternatives to the MLM network oils.
The Edens Garden De-Stress Set comes in an attractive gift box, so it would make a great present for someone you know who needs a little emotional support.

Essential Oil Blends For Relaxation and Stress
Plant Therapy is another well-known and highly regarded aromatherapy source that sells blends designed to combat stress, worry and anxiety. I’ve bought a number of Plant Therapy products myself, and I can highly recommend this company and everything it sells. Here are two blends made for people who may feel momentarily overwhelmed.
The Worry Free Synergy Blend is a mix of lavender, marjoram, ylang ylang, sandlewood, vanilla and Roman chamomile. The Relax formula contains lavender, marjoram, mandarin, patchouli, geranium and chamomile.

Aura Cacia Tranquility Oil
Another brand I often use is Aura Cacia. I’ve also been extremely pleased with the quality of its essential oils and carrier oils. This company, which has been selling essential oils in the United States since the 1980’s, long before their most recent resurgence, makes a special Tranquility essential oil blend. It contains lavender, balsam fir, patchouli, palmarosa, geranium and Roman chamomile oils.
