Gift Ideas For Someone With Fibromyalgia

gift ideas for someone with fibromyalgia

Until recently, I had no idea how many people had fibromyalgia. That’s because I didn’t reach out to others who also suffered from widespread body pain. This pain comes and goes. But it never entirely disappears. It also crops up in different parts of your body. One day your lower back may hurt. The next day your back is fine. But your left jaw is aching.

Fibromyalgia is a widely misunderstood condition. That’s because it often affects people in the prime of life. They may look perfectly well. But they’re living with intolerable pain, coupled with extreme fatigue. To make matters worse, they typically have trouble sleeping.

The good news is that awareness of fibromyalgia seems to be increasing. You can find many fibromyalgia support groups online, especially on Facebook. There’s also a wide range of fibromyalgia awareness gifts, many of which feature a purple butterfly, the symbol of fibro awareness.

One place that has a big selection of fibromyalgia-related gifts is Zazzle. This is a large print-on-demand company where artists can make unique products, which are then available to purchase. The gifts found on Zazzle are often one-of-a-kind, and are made in America.

Many of the fibromyalgia-themed gifts on Zazzle feature a purple ribbon or a purple butterfly. These have come to symbolize fibromyalgia awareness. I realize a lot of people with fibro like purple. So, in my own Zazzle shop, I created a selection of purple fibromyalgia gifts.

However, at the same time, I also realize that some people don’t really like purple butterflies. So I also make a lot of products that aren’t purple, and are not butterfly related.

Fibromyalgia Awareness Gift Ideas

Tshirts are among the most popular fibromyalgia awareness gifts. They’re comfortable and they send a message that fibromyalgia is real, and it’s a bear of a condition to live with. Because so many people like tshirts, I designed a variety of them, both with and without purple butterflies. You can see a few of them below.

Coffee Mugs For People With Fibromyalgia

Coffee mugs are another popular fibromyalgia awareness gifts. Just like tshirts, they can be printed with humorous or inspirational messages. Purple butterflies are very popular. But I designed different collections, in different colors, that don’t feature butterflies. You can see a few of my coffee mugs below.

Fibromyalgia Awareness Tote Bags

Tote bags are also very popular fibromyalgia awareness gifts. Similar to tshirts and coffee mugs, they can be printed with funny or inspirational sayings. Below are some tote bags that I designed as gifts, to make people feel better and to raise awareness of fibromyalgia.
