Now Rosehip Seed Oil

Now Foods Rose Hip Seed Oil is one of the natural plant-based remedies I’ve used to help keep my skin looking young.

Rose hip seed oil contains a lot of natural, whole Vitamin C. So it’s very good for your skin.

Vitamin C is not the same thing as ascorbic acid, found in many other beauty products, as well as in many dietary supplements.

Using Rosehip Seed Oil on Your Face

Although it’s often referred to as Vitamin C, ascorbic acid is just one component of this crucial nutrient, which helps maintain your immune system and feed your skin’s collagen.

Many anti-aging skin creams on the market claim to contain Vitamin C. But, instead, one of the main active ingredients is ascorbic acid.

Most herbalists are well aware that medicinal herbs contain countless chemicals that work in synergy. This is why the whole plant is more effective than an isolate. Consequently, this is the reason I like to put things that have grown in the soil on my face, instead of laboratory concoctions.

Although you may get some benefits from ascorbic acid, and other simple extracts, it’s possible you’re missing out on many others.

Rosehip Seed Oil for Wrinkles

Rose hip seed oil is often used as a wrinkle fighter. It’s believed to have the ability to moisturize and plump up your surface skin cells, which reduces the visible appearance of aging. This amazing oil also leaves your skin with a healthy-looking glow.

There are various brands of rose hip seed oil on the market. I’m sure most of them can help you look younger. Some of them, however, are much more expensive than others.

One brand of rosehip oil I have personal experience with is sold by Now Solutions. This company that sells high quality, but budget-friendly vitamins, herbal supplements and essential oils. I’ve purchased a number of their oils, and other products, and have been happy with the quality.

Rosehip Seed Oil Benefits for Skin

As a middle-aged woman, I’m relying upon rose hip seed oil to fight the visible signs of aging. These include fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes, partly the result of growing up in the California sun and also using a sun lamp as a teenager.

Fortunately, these are starting to diminish with twice-daily applications of rose hip seed oil.

This oil is working very well, but it’s very thick. The only complaint I have is that it take a few good shakes to get it out of the bottle.

More recently, I’ve also tried another brand of organic rosehip seed oil made by Aura Cacia. It’s more expensive than the Now Solutions label, but I like it a little better.

However, I can confidently recommend either of these products.
