Not too long ago, I may not have been able to write this article. Organic cotton baby presents were available, but relatively rare.
Now, though, there’s a growing awareness that every effort should be make to avoid exposing a newborn to toxins. Many parents feed their babies only organic food. They also try to make sure they’re swaddled in organic fabrics, and for good reason.
Pesticides are liberally sprayed on cotton. Out of all the crops grown in the United States, it accounts for about 10 percent of the total amount of insecticides use.
